As Language Lead you will be performing a variety of tasks related to Language Quality of Life Science localization projects in all languages; from Source Text Analysis to Final Quality Assurance.

What You Will Do:

  • Analyse source project files including risk analysis to determine language process;
  • Prepare kit for external translation partners, including instructions, language assets, reference materials, etc.;
  • Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control steps: check files to ensure that they comply with the project’s instructions;
  • Maintain linguistic assets, such as glossary creation, update, upload, clean-up and conversion, Translation Memory (TM) maintenance, and Linguistic Tool Box (LTB) rules;
  • Manage linguistic issues and queries;
  • Promptly notify Manager about any problems that affect your ability to accomplish planned goal;
  • Demonstrate honesty, keep commitments, and behave in a consistent and ethical manner - abiding by all our policies;
  • Be compliant with Language Quality Inspection (LQI) triggers and arbitrate LQI when escalated and as required to evaluate partners when needed;
  • By exception perform small linguistic tasks such as translation, editing, proofreading, linguistic testing, on an as needed basis (only applicable if you are a Life Science Approved Partner in our Community Database);
  • Cooperate with the internal team on process improvements. Be critical: when you spot room for further development, implementation, and maintenance of linguistic assets, such as glossary creation, update, upload, clean-up and conversion, TM maintenance, and LTB rules, escalate this to the team and work together on its implementation.
