We have been using PASSOLO for about 6 months. The initial implementation was surprisingly quick and easy - we were up and running with PASSOLO in a matter of a day or two. Additionally, we have found the PASSOLO interface extremely intuitive. We often have in-country personnel contribute translation work. Previously we would distribute Excel documents for translations, but now we send a PASSOLO translation bundle with a short description of how to download the Translator version from PASSOLO and a brief description of how to get started. The learning curve is minimal and the translators enjoy working with the product.
With our old tool and processes, managing translations and sizing dialogs was very hands-on and extremely time intensive. PASSOLO's automation interface has allowed us to streamline procedures. For instance, integration with our build process allows for automatic update of source files, which is then automatically propagated to the translation files, thus ensuring that the UI of each language is always in synch with the source language. Using the "Check" feature, we can automatically identify UI issues and focus our hands-on attention in these areas.
All in all, we are extremely happy with PASSOLO. PASSOLO's ease of use and automation capabilities have allowed us to increase productivity and to maintain the quality of our translations and UI.
